I received more Addi Click sets today! If you are wanting one of these sets or want to hint
to a loved one that this might be a good Christmas gift...move quickly. These sets never stay long. I also have that addition of the click add on cables. These are even more popular once you have your kit.
Friday and Monday are big days for more yarn in the store. New yarns. New looks. New projects. New classes. Will post when each new shipment comes in. Stay tuned!

Our great friend Adrienne will be leaving us this week to live in Florida and I want to say what a great loss to me personally and to the store her leaving is. We will miss her bright smile and wonderful laughter.
I thank you for all the comfort, support and friendship you have given. You are a true friend!

I finished a bunch of projects this week...I know, I know...you are amazed and impressed, and probably a little surprised. A new slouchy (Rasta) hat, a mohair/Bobble scarf, a ruffled scarf, and a new crocheted sweater. What's even better is that there is a pattern to match each one!
So how is it that I got more done? A new positive energy that has been a long time coming. New friends, new outlook, great company, God's blessing.
Saturday is looking like a great day with the Ruffled Scarf Workshop and Edie in house to teach. I am very excited. We are doing 2 workshops(10-12 and 12-2) that day so more can learn the scarf with less people in each class. This scarf is easy and looks soooooo difficult and the color selection is great.
I want to Thank our new friends from Alaska, Whitney and Paula, for stopping in the store to share with us. It was a pleasure to have you and I hope you will join us again.
More to come...More yarns to come...more patterns to come...more laughs to come!

Could it get any busier? Nope! I think...Nope:D I was so happy today to recieve the new Ribbon Tape in the store for the Ruffled Scarves everyone is looking so forward to learning and making. I was excited and happily surprised(I didn't realize I had ordered that many colors:P). I was also surprised by how many have already been purchased for Saturday's workshop.
Because of all the people wanting to learn, I have decided to do 2 workshops. One from 10am-12 and another from 12-2pm. Edie will also be in the store on Saturday to teach beginning Knitting to anyone who would like to take a Saturday Class. She will be in the store more on Saturdays so we can benefit from her knitting "know-how".
I also ordered some of the most beautiful yarns from a newer company (new to the store at least) called Feza yarns. These yarns are beautiful and affordable. They will make fantastic garments, scarves, hats and much more. The pattern support is beyond great and reordering if we need something is just a phone call away. No waiting for weeks or months at a time. I am very pleased to welcome them into the store.
One of the great features of this yarn is a large ball of yarn that makes incredible scarves. One ball for one scarf complete with fringe already made to attach. LOVE IT!
I am grateful for you all. I hope you don't get sick of hearing about it. I can't say it enough times. Grateful to God, Grateful to my family, Grateful for my soulsista's, Grateful for all of you.
One more thing...the Aslan Trends made it to the store this evening. I haven't gotten it all on the shelf yet, but I must say...Bravo! Soft and vibrant in all it's color ways.

Sunday morning...I love this morning because I get a chance to reflect on the week and all that has happened. This week was one of the best yet. It seems that wonderful ladies who started as customers wanting to learn have become friends. Friends have become support and that, I think, is one of the most important aspects of what a LYS can be. Friends supporting friends!
I don't think gratitude can ever be overratted so let me take a moment to say Thank YOU!!!!! Thank you for being a part of my life and store. Thank You for all of the laughs, boo hoo talks, knitting (or crocheting) snaffooo pow wows, wine tasting, teasing....and so many more moments. I look forward to coming in every day and I believe all those moments help me push through. I hope they help you do the same.
Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday with your families. Keep KNITTING and CROCHETING!!!!!

Today was a great day at the store. The whole air of the store is lighter, happier and has a much more positive feeling lately. I think the holidays have brought a feeling of togetherness and support that I haven't seen in a long time. We laughed for the entire day today and the "Real Housewives" of Knit Las Vegas convened for a day of smiles. We were also so happy to welcome Sally from Seattle to the store. You made us smile:) Thanks
I think sometimes we all have a tendency to focus on negativity and let the little issues of life drag us down. I hope most everyday (even I have bad days) I can help to bring a smile to a face who is struggling at the moment.
Don't let the yarn frustrate you! Put it down. Step away and give it a time-out. It will be there in the morning laughing at you again. Maybe in the morning it will laugh WITH you:) Ciao!

New Yarns in the store! Cascade yarns has sent some absolutely beautiful yarns and I am so pleased to create with these fibers.
Lana Bambu is a Bamboo/wool blend that has an amazingly soft feel and colors that I think go fabulously with anything denim. This yarn is great for garments, scarves and hats.
Nikki - a chunky/thin wool yarn that has a tapestry effect with amazing colors. Each colorway features a mixture of colors that do wonders for interest in any project.
There's always Alpaca - Pure Alpaca, Eco Alpaca, Chunky Alpaca!!!!!!!!!!! There is nothing so soft as alpaca yarn. Come in and enjoy this irresistable fiber. Anything is better with Alpaca!

I thought I might take a moment to say how greatful I am for local yarn shops. I have seen in the past 2 years that it takes all kinds of shops to fit so many kinds of people. I want to tell the ladies of Knit Las Vegas what a blessing you are and how much I welcome you to my table. I opened this shop to be a place where people could come together and share a common interest, make lasting friendships and support one another. That is exactly what has come and I can't thank you enough.
I hope your Holiday Season is a blessed one!
